The game of “Why did you do it that way?” has no winners.
This is a vent, a rant, a scathing rebuke of those who play passive-aggressive mind games. What’s a passive-aggressive mind game?
You’ll find out.
See? That’s one right there.
If I told you I went to the movies today, what’s the next line? What do you have to say? It’s my little way of controlling you: giving you just enough information to buy you into a conversation, but then make you have to ask me questions.
Hate it. Absolutely won’t tolerate it. Here’s my answer:
“I went to the movies today.”
“Cool.”
“It was a great movie…”
“That’s good.”
See? No give-and- no take: it you ain’t givin’, I ain’t takin’.
Now, if you said “I went and saw the new Marvel movie today,” then I’ll ask you how it was, because you gave me something of interest. I could even tell both of my friends that you went to see the new Marvel movie. That’s something.
You give, I give.
No give, no give.
It’s kinda like that joke that goes “Do you know the difference between a gorilla and a pound of oranges?” The original punchline goes “that’s why we don’t send you shopping.” You play that with your kids.
The obnoxious, passive aggressive version goes this way:
“Do you know the difference between a gorilla and a pound of oranges?”
“No.”
“Figures.”
Cold, buddy. That’s just cold. You give away absolutely nothing!
And, with Christmas right around the corner, we should all be thinking about giving.
You know what I’m giving?
Mr. Reinhart. That was the worst thing I’ve ever heard!
It was terrible, Horrendous!
Well…actually what you said, it wasn’t that bad. There were parts of it I even liked. Well, seriously, I liked alot of it. Yeah, it was GOOD actually. It was great! It was wonderful! Yeah, bravo! More! More! More! More!
Thank you.
Buzzard P. Speedo
Well said, sir! I couldn’t have phrased it better myself! Well, actually, I probably could have. In truth, I definitely could have! Worst piece of junk I ever read!
And thanks for the comment!
